Talented actor Ling Qing dies unexpectedly and gets bound to the “Universally Hated Comeback System.” His mission is to travel to various small worlds and play despised cannon fodder characters with tragic fates. He must use his “terrible” performances to make the protagonists shine, drive the plot forward, and ultimately reach the ending where he is “hated to death by everyone” in order to be reborn.
Ling Qing: Acting? I’m a professional. Making people cringe? I’ll give it my all (not).
But the script starts going off the rails as soon as he enters the first world:
The harder he tries to play a greedy, materialistic airhead beauty, the more people find him “adorably genuine.”
The more earnestly he portrays a gloomy, malicious cannon-fodder character, the more the protagonist’s crew begins to wonder, “Have we been too hard on him?”
He throws himself into causing trouble and begging to be hated, only to attract countless fervent gazes. Before long, he goes from universally despised to universally adored.
Even more horrifying to Ling Qing, in every small world, a powerful figure with an intimidating aura and a dangerous reputation falls in love with him at first sight and clings to him relentlessly, no matter how disgraceful the role he plays.
Ling Qing: “System! This isn’t what we agreed on! Is there something seriously wrong with all of them?”
System: “Warning! Target’s affection level has exceeded the limit! Comeback mission failed! Host, prepare to receive… um… the punishment for being won over?”
Behind the scenes, a possessive seme who has crossed countless small worlds in pursuit of him chuckles. “Qingqing, no matter what you become or where you hide, I’ll find you and fall in love with you. I’ll play this role with you to the very end.”
In fact, I can't understand the protagonist's thoughts. He is obviously just grinding the disgust value, but he doesn't want to use the method of being framed. Normally, he just needs to finish it. He has enough disgust, but he still wants to clear his name. In the first world, he really cleared his mind, but you are not happy. In the second world, he has not cleared his mind, and you are not happy either. In short, it just doesn't fit together logically.
It feels very strange to write. I feel like it has nothing to do with the introduction.
