After getting drunk at a birthday party, five teachers and students from a drama academy all transmigrate into the set of In the Name of the People. The difficulty level is hell from the start!
The struggling student becomes Hou Liangping,
the top student becomes Cheng Du,
the hot-tempered classmate becomes Qi Tongwei,
the lively, energetic classmate becomes Chen Hai,
and their honest, down-to-earth teacher is forced to become Gao Yuliang. They're all cast as villains, and the ending is nothing but...
With the original plot about to bring on the tragedy of “brothers turning against each other, with Hou Liangping the only survivor,” top student Cheng Du slams the table: This script won't do. We have to rewrite it! We want everyone to make it through and turn the tables against all odds!
And so, a grand “movie star training program” quietly gets underway:
Qi Tongwei teams up with Gao Yuliang to investigate the Zhao family in secret, Chen Hai plays a “fake coma patient” while keeping watch behind the scenes, Hou Liangping puts on a convincing act of integrity at the Anti-Corruption Bureau, and top student Cheng Du, with everyone's full support, steps out from behind the scenes and begins his path to a comeback!
The five put on a show while rewriting the script. They have to fool the real power players' discerning eyes while keeping their incompetent teammates from blowing their cover. How do they cleverly expose mountains of cash? Where should Ding Yizhen run to fit the new plot? Who will the shots at Lonely Eagle Ridge be fired for? How can the fire at Dafeng Factory be made to produce “results”?
See how these drama queens work together, use their acting skills to turn the original plot upside down, and turn a terrible hand into a royal flush. They'll carve out an unconventional path to promotion in Handong's political scene and ultimately propel Cheng Du to the pinnacle of power!
(Note: This is not a serious anti-corruption story. It features multiple transmigrations, absurd comedy and suspense in equal measure, and a heavily altered plot paired with stellar acting! The key is that when brothers work together, their strength can cut through gold, and they'll help the top student make a comeback!)
