Cultivation Through Grammar: I Rewrite the Laws of the World

My name is Li Siyan. Yesterday, I was pulling my hair out over a linguistics paper. Today, I’ve transmigrated into a fantasy world as a “Mute,” someone born unable to perceive the world’s primordial script. Abandoned by my family, I was left to die in a pitch-black mine.

At the brink of despair, I found a stone tablet. Carved on it were not cultivation techniques, but two characters that left me staring in disbelief:

[Grammar].

And just like that, this eccentric cultivation world changed completely before my eyes.

Others cast spells by shouting, forming hand seals, or visualizing, crudely driving the primordial script for [Fire] and [Ball] to smash their enemies.

I only have to push up a pair of imaginary glasses and calmly construct a spell sentence:

“Gather scorching flames at the tip of that finger, condense them without letting them scatter, shape them into a ball, grant them the ability to track and lock onto a target, then shoot them out in an instant!”

While the geniuses of ancient sects are still congratulating themselves over the power of a “Great Fireball,”

while the fairies of hidden sanctuaries are still chanting long, complicated water-control incantations,

all I need is a clever “modifier” to strengthen my defense, an “adverbial” to limit the range, or even a “punctuation mark” to determine a spell’s pauses and bursts.

“Sorry, it’s not that your fireball spell is weak.”

Looking at my opponent’s stunned expression, I gently correct them:

“Your grammar is just full of mistakes.”

This is a path of cultivation unlike any that came before!

The soul as my pen, primordial script as my words, and grammar as my guiding principle!

And I, Li Siyan, a modern-day linguistics office drone, will lay down new laws for the Myriad Worlds!
