Shocking! My Best Friend Ships Me with Her Son

Yuan Youchu saves Wen Yanqing with CPR, never expecting him to cling to her like a lovesick puppy. Just as she is about to give in to his relentless pursuit, she learns from Wen Yanqing that her best friend, Meng Lining, transmigrated twenty years before her, got married, and had a child. The man standing before her is that very child.

Reunited at last, the two friends are overcome with joy and tears. Yuan Youchu thinks she has finally found someone she can count on.

But who knew this support would be a little “unreliable”? After spending twenty years cooped up in ancient times, Meng Lining has at last found a bestie who understands modern jokes. Then she sees her son, whose “proper gentleman” upbringing has him saying one thing while meaning another, taking a keen interest in Yuan Youchu, and immediately goes into full-on shipper mode.

“Youyou, look at my son: six-foot-one, long legs, an ancient-era coder, and a steady job. He’s perfect except for being a little stubborn!”

“Yanqing, look at Miss Youchu. She’s independent and capable, and she even knows an amazing technique like CPR. She’s way better than those delicate noble ladies!”

Yuan Youchu protests desperately: “Lining! He’s your son! We’re from different generations!” Meanwhile, caught between his mother’s relentless matchmaking and his increasingly uncontrollable heartbeat, Wen Yanqing maintains the last vestiges of his cool demeanor.

In the end, Yuan Youchu finds herself on an irreversible path from best friend to mother-in-law.
