The Dragon's Path at the End of the Yuan Dynasty: I, Wang Baobao, Swear to Rule the World

A modern history enthusiast unexpectedly transmigrates to the chaotic final years of the Yuan dynasty, becoming the “remarkable man under heaven,” Koke Temur (Wang Baobao), a powerful general who is nevertheless mired in suspicion. The Yuan court is rotten to the core. The Red Turban armies sweep across the Central Plains, warlords like Zhu Yuanzhang and Chen Youliang carve up Jiangnan, and the Mongol tribes beyond the northern frontier wait like tigers poised to pounce. The land of China is plunged into an unprecedented age of chaos. Armed with modern knowledge and strategic thinking, he refuses to be a pawn of the Yuan court, and cannot bear to watch China fall. Starting by rallying the remnants of his father Chaghan Temur’s forces, he uses an iron fist to root out internal threats and improves farming to stockpile provisions. With innovative tactics, he repeatedly defeats the Red Turban armies, secures a foothold in Henan and Shandong, and quietly builds up the strength to rebel. Caught between Emperor Shun of Yuan’s suspicions and the rebel armies pressing in from the south, he navigates the political landscape with skill. He feigns cooperation with Zhu Yuanzhang while launching a surprise raid on the Yuan court’s granaries. At last, he raises the banner of rebellion at Juyong Pass, overthrows the Yuan dynasty, and founds the Great Yan dynasty, ascending the throne as emperor. From there, he campaigns north and south, subdues the rival powers of Jiangnan, and wipes out the remnants of the Yuan beyond the northern frontier, unifying China. Then he turns his sword westward, conquers the four great khanates, including the Chagatai and Kipchak Khanates, and extends his realm across Eurasia. This is a stirring epic about a transmigrator in the chaos of the late Yuan, who rises from regional warlord to ruler of the world under the name Wang Baobao, rewriting history and reshaping an empire with cunning and an iron fist.
