Jiang Shang is a modern-day young man who lies flat. His greatest ambition in life is to coast along, eat his fill, and enjoy the carefree pleasures of doing nothing. But an unreasonable beam of light shatters his peaceful life: Ultraman Taro, from the M78 Nebula, chooses him as his one and only human host on Earth!
And so the whole thing goes completely off the rails. When monsters appear, everyone expects the Giant of Light to fight heroically, but instead Ultraman might show up flashing a peace sign. When aliens launch elaborate schemes to conquer Earth, they’re repeatedly caught off guard by Jiang Shang’s bizarre train of thought and relentless wisecracks. And whenever the seniors and juniors from the Land of Light come to visit, Jiang Shang always leads them astray, and they end up enjoying all kinds of ridiculous everyday antics.
