The Record of Ami's Path to the Way is a novelistic journal blending fantasy and philosophical reflection. It tells the story of the protagonist Ami (A Jiao), who awakens through the realization of his own death and begins a hundred-day spiritual journey of observing and returning. Abandoning logical thought, he connects with the universe through higher-dimensional perception, traveling through time and space at Mount Sumeru, Mount Wutai, and other places, where he witnesses countless bizarre and wondrous phenomena.
To counter the dual threats of the "Entropy Quiescence Fluctuation" and the "Demon King of Growing Years," Ami establishes a global center for spreading the Way under the guidance of Patriarch Bodhi and forms an "Observation and Return Pact" with the Nine Practitioners of the Entropy Realm. With the protection of Qingfeng Mother, the master of Manjushri's trials and an emanation of the Dragon Maiden, he endures extreme ordeals, including a trial in the Mirror of Delusions and the Heart Sutra's kill line. In the end, he realizes the practice of "observation and return": seeing the birth and death of all things with a mind of emptiness and stillness, transforming delusions into vows, and living a life of depth amid the irreversible current of time.
Through the urgency of a hundred-day countdown, the work explores the fundamental way to resist the increase of entropy within and without: not to destroy one's enemies, but to awaken the innate awareness present in all beings. The light of Prajna's written words shines throughout the universe, and every lost soul can read, in those words, the "letter home" that needs no translation. Beneath its fantasy trappings, the story holds profound reflections on life, time, and enlightenment.
