Age Thirty-Five: The Abyss of the Workplace and a Glimmer of Hope Reborn

At 35, Lin Wan is the deputy marketing manager at Shengyuan Technology, in charge of several projects worth tens of millions. But she overlooks the jealousy of Zhang Li, an accountant in the finance department, and becomes the target of her malicious sabotage. Zhang Li alters receipts for 280,000 yuan in project entertainment expenses, forges signatures, and anonymously reports Lin Wan for “embezzlement.” The company fires Lin Wan without conducting a thorough investigation and spreads rumors that she has “poor morals.”

After losing her job, Lin Wan finds that her age and tarnished work history make it difficult to find another position. The pressure of household expenses and her husband's complaints push her to the brink of collapse. Fortunately, a former colleague shares a clue from Zhang Li's own bragging. Lin Wan regains her courage and joins forces with other former colleagues whom Zhang Li had also framed, gathering evidence and exposing the truth in public.

Though the company apologizes and compensates her, Lin Wan refuses its offer to stay. Drawing on the resources she has built up, she starts a marketing consultancy. She rises from the ashes of her career crisis and realizes that true security comes from the resilience to face adversity head-on.
