Lin Fei, a graduate of a new energy vehicle program, is lost about what to do next when he comes across a recruitment notice for the National Comprehensive Fire and Rescue Team. Burning with passion and hope for the future, he boldly applies. After undergoing a rigorous selection process involving medical exams, physical fitness tests, psychological assessments, and interviews, he is ultimately accepted into the Southeast Province Fire and Rescue Corps.
During a year of grueling recruit training, Lin Fei is forged from an ordinary young man into a capable firefighter. After being assigned to the Taijiang Road Fire and Rescue Station in Linjiang City, he joins his fellow firefighters, each with a distinct personality, on 24-hour standby, facing all kinds of emergencies, from fires and car accidents to earthquakes and floods. Through one harrowing rescue after another, rushing into danger to protect the public, Lin Fei comes to understand the vow “Through fire and water, wholeheartedly serving the people.” He gains deep bonds of brotherhood and ultimately finds his own direction in life and his own kind of heroism: the greatness of standing firm in the ordinary.
This is more than a professional novel about fire and rescue. It is a youthful tribute to the “Flame Blue” of the new era.
Pay tribute to the firefighters of the past and the firefighters of today!
