Born into an ordinary family and at the bottom of his class, a high school student decides to break free from his aimless life by enlisting and serving his country. On the eve of his enlistment, he painfully breaks up with his first love, Chu Mengyao, and sets off down a military path filled with hardship and glory.
In the crucible of military life, he trains relentlessly and begins to stand out. After enduring a brutal selection process, he earns a place in the elite “Divine Sword” special forces and goes on to become an outstanding member of the “Heavenly Sword” hundred-strong counterterrorism team. He undergoes grueling training in parachuting, sniping, bomb disposal, and counterterrorism, and celebrates victory at an international sniping competition before receiving an officer commission and a place at military academy. There, fate takes a turn: he reunites with Chu Mengyao, who applied to the academy to follow him, and the two rekindle their love and grow together.
After graduation, Liu Jin, now a junior officer, returns to the assault team full of passion. But during a border drug-busting operation codenamed “Falcon,” he chooses to put himself in harm's way to protect his comrades. Through his actions, he embodies a soldier's loyalty, duty, and sense of responsibility, transforming from a lost boy into an immortal hero.
