Luo Su only complained that the gacha pool in Warhammer 40K was a rip-off, then got dumped by an even more scammy [Emperor Template System] into the despairing world of Spirit Cage.
A wrench to start with, and everything else has to be scavenged. Facing a horde of Snake Dogs, he receives his first beginner quest from the System:
[Convert the Devourers with the Emperor's Hymn. Reward: Psychic Ignition (Mini Lighter Edition)]
Luo Su: “...You call this a template for the Master of Mankind? This thing has less firepower than a gas stove!”
And so the apocalypse of Spirit Cage takes a sharp turn:
· While everyone else fights for their lives, he sings hymns to Snake Dogs;
· While everyone else searches for supplies, he persuades the Dustfolk to “invest in the Human Revival Project” (which really means crowdfunding);
· While everyone else venerates the Lord of Light and Shadow, he whips out a megaphone: “Believe in the Emperor and gain eternal life! Top up your faith now and get a free trial voucher for a gene seed!”
When Charles sneers and declares him a “heretic,” Luo Su quietly pulls out the chainsword he cobbled together with the “funds” he raised.
“Put me on trial?” He grins, as a golden halo lights up beneath his feet, forged from the “one-yuan” coins contributed by countless Dustfolk.
“Mortals, tell that false god...” “The Emperor of Mankind has come to hit him up for cash today!”
[This is a very serious (not really) story about saving the world. It follows a Warhammer-style tycoon (?) who gets stronger by “raising funds” step by step in the apocalypse, ultimately restoring humanity's glory with just a tiny bit of psychic power and economics. A ridiculous tale.]
No one?
