He goes by the codename “Moutai,” a Chinese freelance agent embedded in a shadowy organization. He spends his days slacking off and secretly sabotaging anti-China operations. With his talent for passing the buck and staging “accidents,” he’s become a mysterious legend within the organization.
But one perfectly orchestrated “accident” targeting extremists brings him a death sentence. Gin’s bullet and the new poison APTX-4869 put an end to his twenty-five-year career as a hardened agent, or almost.
When he wakes up, he finds himself beside a filthy ditch in Japan, transformed into a silver-haired toddler no more than five years old! His strength, identity, and gear are all gone. All he has left is a belly full of agent skills and a stomach growling with hunger.
First, the gentle and kind college student Nanako takes him home and gives him the most thorough “infant-level” care of his life. Then he runs into the jealous Nohara Shinnosuke, who decides he’s his number-one “love rival.” And, even more ridiculously, the impeccably polished Kazama Toru mistakes him for a girl, blushing as he vows to protect “her”!
With the organization possibly hunting him down, former ace agent Moutai has to start the most chaotic undercover life in Kasukabe while wearing this harmless, adorable toddler disguise: mooching food, drinks, and care, practicing muscle memory with toy guns, and plotting his escape with a children’s watch.
But Nanako’s kindness, the protection of “big brother” Kazama, and even Shin-chan’s noisy “hostility” make life on this lonely agent’s path feel a little different~~
