Report, Your Highness the Prince Consort: The Princess Is a Man!

Chen Yizhuan, the second young master of the Chen family, has one life goal: to be a perfectly useless heir who can coast through life. But one imperial edict sends him to the legendary “royal harem for boys,” Luyuan Academy.

On his very first day, reality gives him a brutal wake-up call: his name on the dorm assignment list is right beside the Crown Prince’s and the Third Prince’s! Stuck with one roommate who is unbearably haughty and demanding and another who hides a blade behind his smile, Second Young Master Chen can only cry, “Is it too late to drop out?”

Life at the academy is a minefield. The smiling tiger of a Third Prince lays traps at every turn, his “brotherly friendship” with the charming scholar Xie Linyuan grows increasingly complicated, and the cold-faced Crown Prince looks at him with ever more conflicted eyes. Then there is the seemingly sweet and innocent Sixth Princess, Zhao Yuanyuan, who takes the initiative to ask the emperor to make him her consort.

He thinks marrying a princess will be a shortcut out of the academy’s quagmire. But on their wedding night, when the veil is lifted, he finds not a bashful bride but a world-shattering secret: the princess is actually a man?!

From then on, Chen Yizhuan is forced aboard the “pirate ship.” In public, he must play the part of a loving spouse and fend off probes from all sides. In private, he must battle this “princess” in bed, struggling to survive amid the academy’s open and covert attacks and the court’s turbulent power struggles.

Gradually, he discovers that everyone at the academy has secrets and schemes of their own. And he, a salted fish who only wants to lie flat, somehow becomes the center of the storm, forced to carve out an unexpected future for himself and those around him on the chessboard of power!
