Professor, You Got Cornered Again Today

[Devoted couple + university campus + heroine pursues hero (later he pursues her) + professor-student romance + age gap + a little push and pull] [Sunny girl × aloof professor] Side couple: roguishly handsome rich kid vs. sweet, timid darling (second chance romance) The first time Xia Mian saw Lu Zeyan was in a tiered lecture hall during an open class on art history. The man stood at the center of the podium, lecturing on Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus. Sunlight slanted across his gold-rimmed glasses. Even the way his fingertips turned the pages of a weighty book, and the cadence of his voice as he discussed The Birth of Venus, felt like a tender trap in slow motion. She declared on the spot, “I’m going to make this professor mine.” And so began her awkward campaign to “corner” him. But Lu Zeyan always had the same response: “Please maintain appropriate boundaries between teacher and student.” It was an invisible wall standing between him and her full-hearted enthusiasm. Later, when she was really ready to give up, he couldn’t stand it anymore. Pinning her against the wall, he asked, “Giving up already?” She said, “What else can I do? You don’t like me.” The next second, he kissed her. It turned out that beneath the aloof professor’s restraint, he had long been hiding a fierce attraction to her. This is a sweet campus romance that begins with the girl pursuing the guy and turns into a love both are willing to fight for. It’s all about a young woman bravely pursuing love, and the cautious sweetness that comes with their difference in status. P.S. 1. The leads are not in a direct teacher-student relationship. The heroine is a first-year journalism student, and the hero is a first-year art history professor. 2. There may be a few minor misunderstandings to move the plot along, but they’ll be resolved quickly. Feel free to skip the story if that’s not your thing. 3. Please be patient if some parts aren’t as nuanced as they could be. Thank you for reading!
