Synopsis

Shen Wu, a concubine-born daughter, is forced into a substitute marriage and becomes the wife of Xiao Jingzhan, the deposed crown prince. In the imperial palace, they keep up a distant front while secretly testing each other, unaware that fate has already bound them together. When war breaks out again on the northern frontier, Shen Wu's hidden identity as a princess of the northern kingdom is revealed. She is also stunned to discover that Xiao Jingzhan is a prince from an enemy nation who was separated from his homeland. Their dual identities bring suspicion and murderous danger, but also a fatal attraction.

The snowy kingdom of old conceals a bloodline curse known as the “Twin Blossoms.” Their birth mother sleeps in an ice coffin, the empress performs a bizarre blood-sacrifice ritual, and a twin mirror can reveal the future... Beneath layer upon layer of mystery, the two discover that their souls originated from the very same beam of light. To break the curse and keep two worlds from collapsing, they must choose: remain apart forever, gazing at each other from opposite shores, or face danger together and defy their fates?

This is a love story that begins with a mistaken match and a substitute bride, grows through their pretense of deep affection, and ends with them standing side by side to rule the heavens. Watch as the twin emperor and empress overcome every obstacle, bind themselves with love, and write a legend that transcends time and space.
