Born of a Corpse, Wept Over by Ghosts

The night my mother was buried, a baby cried out from her grave. When we opened the coffin, I saw that her belly had split open, and I crawled out covered in blood. The villagers thought I was a demon and abandoned me in a mass grave for wild dogs to devour. Seven days later, every dog lay dead, and I sat among the corpses, laughing and playing. A barefoot Taoist in a black robe passed by and fell to his knees in shock: “An Yin-born child of Heaven's will, master of all ghosts... This child is the reincarnation of Yama!”
