The Mist of New Arc Light City

In New Arc Light City, memories are both currency and the deadliest poison. Ling Su, a memory-crystal repairer who roams the city's sinking districts, makes a living by mending other people's shattered memories. Like a diver exploring souls, day after day he plunges into the surreal depths of strangers' minds, salvaging forgotten truths while guarding the fragments of his own broken past.

A mysterious commission from the upper district shatters his quiet life: repair a severely fractured memory crystal taken from a dead person. When Ling Su dives into the chaotic stream of memory data, he discovers that what he has salvaged is not merely the secret of a wealthy young woman, but a terrifying conspiracy capable of overturning the order of all New Arc Light City.

Altered evidence, a nonexistent killer, and a name that echoes again and again in the depths of his own memories. To survive, and to reclaim the “self” that was stolen from him, Ling Su must swim against the current of memory and trace the scar etched deep within countless souls. In this city built on lies, his only weapon is the past everyone has forgotten.
