National Fate X passionate defense X Nuo opera slaying gods X the truth of civilization X interstellar warfare
In the Age of Declining Dharma, the whispers of evil gods erode the starry sky,
the foundations of Chinese civilization crumble, and the Great Wall lies dark and lifeless!
Su Geyao transmigrates into this world, only to discover he is the last inheritor of Nuo masks.
On a run-down opera stage, he unexpectedly sings in the style of Nuo opera, awakening the slumbering ancestral spirits of China:
The Yellow Emperor's war drums form the foundation, Yu the Great's battle steps shape the formation, and the wisdom of Confucius becomes the talisman!
“You say Nuo opera is nothing but feudal superstition?”
With a Nuo mask over his face, he stamps his foot and shatters the void:
The Big Dipper's seven stars are the seven steps Yu the Great took to control the floods!
Quantum entanglement is merely the Nuo cord and thread of thought stirred by Empress Wa as she molded humanity from clay!
The expansion of the universe began with the unfinished note of Nuo opera when Pangu split heaven and earth!
Now the evil gods have revived, and monsters devour stars and moons.
Su Geyao dances with sweeping sleeves, using Nuo opera to set all things in harmony:
Enemy starships at the border? One performance of Zhong Kui Marries Off His Sister opens a passage to the underworld, and a million ghost soldiers march across dimensions to celebrate!
Ancient gods corrupting the world? The drums of Yu the Great Calming the Seas thunder once more, and beneath the Pacific rises an entropy-erasing matrix of the Nine Tripods!
Civilization forgotten? The Analects sung as Nuo opera becomes the music of a thousand years of culture, its notes splitting the sky to slay evil!
He fights from the Nuo temples of western Hunan to the Martian colonial city,
from the divine bronze patterns of Sanxingdui to the insectoid hive,
before discovering that Chinese Nuo opera was never a performance at all:
it is a civilizational firewall written into our genes!
It is a god-slaying weapon hidden by our ancestors in the sea of stars!
As the evil gods finally prepare to tear through dimensions and descend,
Su Geyao paints the First Emperor's celestial patrol pattern on his face and dons the Overlord's battle-breaking robe.
Atop the Great Wall, he strikes the starship bells:
“China's Nuo song is here
May all evil flee, and the Milky Way ring anew!”
“Where our Nuo masks point, there lie China's borders!”
