Lin Chen, ace captain of China's elite Blade special forces, codenamed Lone Wolf, spent his life on the battlefield and completed thirty-three top-secret missions in which death was only a hair's breadth away. Yet during his final border operation, he was betrayed by his most trusted deputy, Zhao Feng, and killed in a siege by an international mercenary group. With his dying breath, he closed his eyes, carrying with him the unavenged blood feud and the regret of failing to protect his country.
When he opened his eyes again, Lin Chen had been reborn in the recruit camp of 2010, a full eight years before he would join Blade, lose his comrades, and face the traitor's schemes. This time, he brought with him the peak memories of a decade as a top soldier, elite tactical experience, and precise knowledge of the future. From the recruit camp's initial evaluations onward, he showed astonishing talent: setting a record in the five-kilometer run, crushing veteran soldiers in push-ups, and hitting all five targets in live-fire practice for a perfect score, stunning the entire camp.
He was no longer a hot-blooded rookie who charged ahead without thinking. As he fought his way through the brutal special forces selection, making up for the regrets of his past life and protecting his comrades through life and death, he also planned carefully, laying his groundwork in secret and vowing to completely foil the schemes of Zhao Feng and the international mercenary group. From an outlier in the recruit camp to the peak of Blade once more, Lin Chen wields the blade of vengeance in his reborn body and guards his homeland's borders. Tempered in blood and fire, he will forge a new legend as the king of soldiers and make every villain tremble at his name!
