The Demon Venerable Was Overpowered by the Immortal Venerable, Then Realized the Script Was Wrong

Mo Yan, a modern soul, transmigrates into a cultivation world where immortals and demons are at odds, becoming a cannon-fodder demonic cultivator who was slain by the righteous immortal sects. To survive, he pretends to have been corrupted by demonic arts and, trusting the “original story,” joins the renowned Yunxiao Immortal Sect, hoping to reform himself. But after lying low for three months, he discovers the extreme evil lurking beneath the sect’s glittering facade: the Immortal Venerable refines pills with the blood from people’s hearts, while an immortal maiden massacres a city to forge a soul banner. The so-called righteous path is, in truth, an unparalleled demonic lair draped in the guise of benevolence and justice. Once he sees the truth, Mo Yan can no longer bear it and resolves to betray the sect, only to be effortlessly intercepted during his escape by the supreme Immortal Venerable Yuchen. The Immortal Venerable does not kill him. Instead, he sees through Mo Yan’s disguise and whispers a startling offer: join forces to overthrow this false righteousness and stage a world-shaking game of chess that will remake the world.
