Pawnshop No. 9: Restarting 1980

Ninth Pawnshop: Rebooting 1980 tells the story of Su Wenjin, an heir to the art of ceramic mending who is reborn in the 1980s after an accident. Armed with modern techniques and the golden finger known as the “Eye of Insight,” he can see the memories and emotions hidden within objects. He repairs broken things, and mends broken hearts. Starting from a shop on an old street, he gradually revitalizes traditional crafts, meets his true love, Xia Zhiqiu, expands his business empire, and builds a cultural brand, all while witnessing ordinary people rise and the country transform amid the wave of reform and opening up.

This is an era-spanning tale of heritage preservation, emotional healing, and business triumph. It repairs not only objects, but also the memories and warmth of an entire age.
