Core premise: In an age of cyber-mythology, a low-ranking little demon fights back against a dead-end job. Alongside his companions, he sets out in search of freedom and self-worth, only to discover that the true scriptures aren't in the Western Heaven but in ordinary life.
Setting: In a world where immortal and demonic magic has warped together with cyber technology, corporate giants monopolize everything. A "Merit Points" System quantifies and controls the value of every individual.
Act One: The Dead End of Langlang Mountain (Chapters 1–25)
Inciting incident: The protagonist, Little Pig Demon (Employee ID 079), is the lowest-ranking pot scrubber at Langlang Mountain Corporation. Day after day, he endures the cold surveillance of the AI supervisor, Instructor Bear, and the empty promises of middle manager Wolf.
Triggering event: Falsely accused of "damaging the company's merit-pot code," the System rates his performance as "substandard." He faces the prospect of being "optimized," meaning physically destroyed.
Turning point: In the "reflection grotto," where he is sent for brainwashing, he isn't crushed. Instead, the ramblings of a mysterious old demon reveal a clue to the secret, "The Great King fears water." His resolve to resist hardens.
Goal: He decides to escape Langlang Mountain and steal an abandoned mechanical pack beast. Amid a deafening alarm, he makes his getaway.
Act Two: Perils on the Pilgrimage (Chapters 26–80)
Forming a team: During his escape, Little Pig Demon teams up with three equally disillusioned coworkers: a toad spirit who dreams of landing a civil-service job, a cynical weasel spirit, and a tech-obsessed gorilla monster. Together, they pose as a "pilgrimage team."
A mirror of society: Their journey is like a farcical social experiment.
