Bound to a System from the Start, the Movie Emperor Turns Out to Be Me

Best Actor Lu Chen is a mysterious new tycoon in the financial world, and when he mixes drinks, he's so handsome it's practically offensive.

Top-tier star and Best Actress Jiang Wanxing is sharp-tongued, proud, secretly passionate, and terminally lazy. Taking down haters is as natural to her as breathing.

Childhood friends, they've spent ten years trading barbs, each hiding a crush deeper than the foundations of the Forbidden City.

On the night Jiang Wanxing wins Best Actress, Lu Chen gets bound to the Cultural Heritage System.

He has 48 hours to recreate Lanling wine from the Tang dynasty, or fail the mission and be publicly humiliated across the internet.

He unexpectedly gains a golden finger that can unlock intangible cultural heritage skills, memories of his past life, and unbelievable abilities.

A bartender becomes a brewer, and a financial analyst hand-builds an ancient-style distiller. One jar of wine wins an international gold medal.

While others chase traffic with publicity stunts, he uses the System to face-slap fake masters.

She's too lazy to accept an award, but he makes sure her reputation is set in stone on the monument of history.

From Shanghai-style Peking opera to Suzhou embroidery lanterns, he revives twenty forms of intangible cultural heritage and brings them back into the spotlight.

When Chen Feng spreads rumors and frames him, he shorts the man's stocks and drives him into bankruptcy;

assassination plots involving wires, poisoned tea schemes, and artifact smuggling are all countered with a double strike of finance and traditional methods.

The haters across the internet fall silent, while veteran artisans kneel and cry, "Our ancestral craft is back!"

After ten years of keeping his talents hidden, he finally erupts. He's not only a Best Actor, but also a guardian of culture.

At last, during a global live broadcast of a millennium-spanning exhibition, he freezes time to capture criminals, and the System advances to the next dimension of civilization's heritage.

He smiles as he mixes a drink. "In my next life, I don't want to be a guardian. I just want to be a spectator, watching you take on the whole world."
