The Top-Tier Star Couple Goes Viral After Publicly Tearing Into Each Other

When the nation's first love, Su Qingyan, meets three-time Best Actor Lu Jiming, their marriage, adored by the entire internet as a "perfect match," turns out to be a contract scam packed with "no interference in each other's lives" clauses. In front of the cameras, they're the loving couple who hold hands and say, "I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you." Behind the cameras, they bicker the moment they meet, and even fighting over a lounge sends them trending as "mortal enemies."

A secretly filmed argument, exposed by accident, should have sent both their careers plummeting. Instead, their spectacularly rude spats, "so uncouth, yet so addictive," turn the tide, and their CP fans explode from zero to tens of millions. Forced to appear together on a couples' variety show, they match wits during a "share one bowl of noodles" challenge and awkwardly bicker through a night spent "sharing one room." Yet whenever the other is in a sorry state, concern slips out instinctively. She is afraid of the dark, so he leaves the lights on all night; he has a stomachache, and the ginger soup she clumsily makes hides a tenderness she can't bring herself to admit.

When a rising star from the comparison couple stirs up trouble, the truth about their contract comes out, and scandals come flooding in, the aloof Best Actor suddenly produces his teenage diary, revealing a secret kept for ten years. What seemed like "stealing opportunities" was actually an unusual way of pushing her forward. This contract marriage was simply his clumsy way of protecting the girl he'd fallen for as a teenager.

From "fake spouses" to fans across the internet chanting "stay together forever," from sabotaging one another to falling for each other in earnest, they use the sharpest words to express the softest feelings, playing out a top-tier star romance fairytale that goes from tearing each other apart to sweet love under the spotlight. When she says, "I won't renew the contract, but I want to renew it for a lifetime," she realizes that this entanglement, which began for mutual gain, has long since been quietly filled with genuine affection.
