Transmigrate as a Village Chief: Help the Empress Conquer the World

Transmigrate to Become a Village Chief and Help the Empress Rule the World

Modern engineer Lin Yuan unexpectedly transmigrates to the chaotic final years of the Han dynasty. The moment he opens his eyes, he finds himself the impoverished village chief of Luofeng Slope, facing a village full of starving people, displaced refugees, and the constant threat of bandits and famine. At his most desperate, he activates the Chinese Civilization Renewal System. Armed with high-yield crop seeds, blueprints for improved tools, and knowledge of advanced infrastructure, he vows to carve out a path to survival in this land.

He teaches the villagers to reclaim wasteland and farm, doubling grain yields with composting techniques and crop rotation. He builds workshops and forges iron tools, from treadle looms to blast furnaces, transforming Luofeng Slope from a barren mountain village into a paradise amid chaos. He trains local militia and builds strong walls. With black-iron weapons and firearms, the small village becomes a fortress that is easy to defend and hard to attack.

At that time, Empress Zhao Yue has only just ascended the throne. Within the court, vassal kings covet her position and powerful relatives meddle in government; beyond the borders, the Xiongnu raid the frontier and Japanese pirates run rampant. The dynasty stands on the brink of collapse. An accidental investigation brings the Empress's attention to this unusual Luofeng Slope and its legendary village chief. From discreet support to a close bond between ruler and subject, Lin Yuan helps the Empress purge the court and reform officialdom as her imperial tutor. As a commander, he leads the Black Armor Army north to defeat the Xiongnu, south to pacify Baiyue, east to suppress the pirates, and west to expand the Silk Road.

From village chief in the mountains to pillar of the empire, from developing firearms to building infrastructure across the world, Lin Yuan stands by the Empress as she gradually overcomes internal and external threats, transforming a dynasty battered by storms into a world power spanning thousands of miles, one to which all nations pay tribute. This is a tale of an underdog's rise that began at Luofeng Slope, and an epic of ruler and subject united in their efforts to restore the golden age of Chinese civilization!
