A New Chapter of Shishuo Xinyu

Chapter 1 Summary In the spring of the second year of Jianyuan, Lin Song, a famous scholar from Langye, brought his Qin to Jiankang. He was introduced by Wang Meng and met with Wang Dao, Yin Hao, Wang Xizhi, Huan Wen and other celebrities. He demonstrated his qin skills with the fragmentary score of "Guangling San" and discussed the view of "no distinction between Tao" during the Xuan Dynasty. He refused Huan Wen to win over and adhered to the elegant way. He also met Xie Daoyun to discuss qin and Dai Kui presented a Buddha statue. He was invited by Wang Xizhi to copy the "Preface to the Lanting Collection" and Xie Daoyun's Dongshan branch. He first established himself in Jiankang, showing his character as a son of a noble family.
