In 1938, Heyuan, Shanxi. Lin Xuan, a wounded Huangpu officer, was trapped with the 358th Regiment of the Jin-Sui Army, which was on the verge of collapse. When he heard that the entire regiment had been written off as expendable, despair set in. Then, through the fever, a flash of inspiration struck! A daring yet brilliantly conceived decapitation plan, "Blossom at the Center," emerged as broken German phrases muttered in delirium and a rhythm tapped against his injured leg, stunning Regiment Commander Chu Yunfei. With the lives of the entire regiment on the line, Chu Yunfei defied orders and carried it out. The result was an astonishing reversal! The command post of the Sakata Regiment was captured, and its commander was killed!
