I Make a Living by Delivering Orders to Ghosts

To scrape together money for his daughter’s asthma medication, I took a strange delivery job on a stormy night. The address was an abandoned funeral home, and the note read, “Leave it in the third room of the west wing and knock three times.” When I opened the door, a ghostly bailiff in white named Bai Ling handed me a package of underworld currency. The next day, my account had an extra 200 yuan marked “underworld tip.”

From then on, I became the “exclusive delivery driver” for the realms of yin and yang. I brought osmanthus cakes to an old woman beneath an ancient locust tree and received a cord to keep my daughter safe. I helped a wandering spirit in an office tower deliver an apology letter and got my landlord to waive the rent. But when sorcerer Zhao Kun coveted my “protective aura” and kidnapped my daughter to force me to make a sacrifice, I unleashed the yin-yang power inherited from my family. I learned protective arts from Black Impermanence, joined forces with a Taoist priest and Bai Ling to fight evil spirits, and uncovered the secret that my grandfather had once been an emissary between the worlds.

From a delivery box to a yin-yang sword, from saving my daughter to protecting the boundary between the worlds, I opened a “Yin-Yang Convenience Store.” But on my daughter’s birthday, a stranger in a bamboo hat asked, “Can you deliver something to heaven?” And just like that, I was pushed into a new adventure beyond the heavenly frontier. There’s more than one way to protect your family.
