Echoes Through Time: The Red Shore Signal

A series of disappearances linked to employees of Redshore Technology rocks Xinhu City. While investigating, detective Lin Ye crosses paths with Su Rui, an intern who discovered that the company's servers were receiving a signal dated to the 2047 Resource War. Together, they uncover the secret of the "Temporal Echo Device": Redshore's founder, Chen Mo, plans to project his consciousness into the past to alter history and save his daughter, who died in the war. The missing people are all failed subjects from his experiments.

Lin Ye discovers that his father, a key officer in the war, is Chen Mo's ultimate target. Su Rui also learns that she is a clone of Chen Mo's daughter, intended to be sent into the past to persuade the younger Chen Mo. When Chen Mo activates the final projection, Lin Ye breaks in with the help of his detained partner. The device overloads, and space-time collapses, causing the 2047 laboratory to overlap with the ruins of 2077. They witness how, no matter what they do, humanity's greed for resources will ignite the war in one form or another.

In the end, Su Rui refuses to be projected, telling Chen Mo, "Memories can't be changed, but we can choose the future." Chen Mo shuts down the device, and his consciousness fades away. Lin Ye makes the data public, sparking a worldwide debate about the ethics of technology. A year later, the people of Xinhu City plant seeds among the ruins. Su Rui devotes herself to environmental protection, while Lin Ye continues working as a detective. They choose to seek a better future while living with the imperfections of the present.
