Primordial Desolation: Renounce the Saint Seat, Tong Tian’s Breakthrough into Hunyuan

[Transmigration] [System] [Primordial Flow] [Investiture of the Gods] [Invincible Protagonist] [Transcendence] [Another World]

Qin Xiao transmigrates and becomes Sect Master Tongtian, during the period after the Investiture of the Gods War when Dao Ancestor Hongjun confines Tongtian to the Zixiao Palace. Filled with grief and fury over the destruction of the Jie Sect, his disciples' deaths, and his elder brother's betrayal, he awakens a System and learns that the Sagehood is actually a shackle imposed by the Heavenly Dao. In the future, the immeasurable calamities and even the invasion of Demons from Beyond will turn the Heavenly Dao Sages into mere pawns and cannon fodder.

In a fit of rage, Tongtian declares in the Zixiao Palace, "Heaven and Earth are not benevolent, treating all things like straw dogs. I don't want this Sagehood anymore!" His words shake the Heavenly Dao. He abandons his Sagehood of his own accord, causing his cultivation to plummet, but freeing his true spirit. Hongjun watches coldly without taking action for now, while the other Sages mock him.

With guidance from the System and a modern mindset, he secretly ventures into the Primordial World's perilous lands, despite his cultivation having fallen to the Quasi-Sage level. He seeks the Chaos Bead (fragment) and Pangu's Legacy, rebuilds his foundation, and condenses the Primordial Dao Fruit, becoming a Primordial Daluo Golden Immortal.
