The Song Dynasty's God of War

[Transmigration + System + Great Song + General + Otherworld]

Qin Ming: The soul of a modern special forces king transmigrates by accident. He takes over the body of a young general of the Great Song Dynasty who has just fallen in battle on the northern frontier. The general shares his name, and Qin Ming inherits his memories. He wakes up in an ambush at Wolf Valley, where nearly his entire unit has been wiped out and he is gravely wounded. The “Seeds of Civilization” System activates.

With tactical insight far ahead of his time, drawing on special forces methods, primitive high-tech gear he redeems through the System, such as an improved composite bow, simple gunpowder bombs called “Skyshakers,” and basic plate armor blueprints, and his own martial prowess, Qin Ming repeatedly distinguishes himself in small border skirmishes. He saves his fellow soldiers and foils enemy schemes, earning the respect of ordinary troops and the esteem of some upright generals, including a fictional counterpart to the veteran general Zong Ze. He begins assembling his own trusted inner circle, including loyal brothers-in-arms and skilled craftspeople. Thanks to his achievements and System missions, Qin Ming is promoted over the heads of others and made a general responsible for defending a region. He fights off a massive invasion by the combined forces of the Jin, Western Xia, and Liao.

Qin Ming's rise and powerful army provoke intense fear and greed among the treacherous court faction, who covet his advanced technology. They keep whispering slander in the emperor's ear, accusing Qin Ming of building up his own power and plotting treason. The emperor believes them and sends twelve golden decrees in quick succession, summoning Qin Ming back to the capital under false charges and stripping him of all his military authority on the spot. A trusted minion of the treacherous faction takes command!

The nation is in peril, and all under heaven falls into chaos. The surviving soldiers and civilians, loyal generals, and even some officials who have come to regret their actions call out in despair for the God of War who once protected them: Qin Ming!
