Withered Roots

The story is full of the bleakness of life and the weakness of human nature, which makes me unable to help but think of myself - in reality, I am often a cowering "quail". So when I read those scenes that were too painful, I had to pause and let the interrupted reading dilute the empathy and sorrow. But in the end, I will always go back and complete this frustrating reading journey. This is not the first time. "The White Olive Tree" has also made me do this. Between escape and intolerance, I repeatedly examined the weakness we all share inside and outside the story.

It's very well written. I like the villagers in the village. They are very kind [like] and help the two sisters time and time again. It's very touching. I have been looking forward to the two sisters living a good life. However, I don't like the ending of the two sisters [face covering] (luckily there is an extra to make up for it)

I stayed up late to finish it and couldn't stop watching it. Although it was a tragedy and quite sad, the ending was also logical and the fate of the characters was determined by their personality.
