Adventures of Lying Flat in Yucun

The Iron Triangle’s life in Rain Village may look ordinary, but it’s really one chaotic mess. Forced into “retirement,” they find themselves in one embarrassing situation after another, trading barbs while looking out for each other...

Wu Xie is the designated complainer and worrywart housekeeper; Pangzi brings homey warmth, wild ideas, and comic relief; Xiaoge is cold-faced and cunning, occasionally adorably clueless, and a powerhouse who gets things done. Their leisurely days sometimes bring memories of the past to the surface.

Strange events do occur, but they’re mainly played for laughs or serve as catalysts for everyday life. In the end, they all come down to the absurdity of life itself.

The story captures the local customs and slow pace of life in a small southern village, along with the clash between tradition and modernization.
