Ruichen, a London Gold Precious Metals Salesperson

At twenty-five, Ruichen had just walked off campus with his finance degree in hand. Alongside An Qi, the top student in his class, he plunged into the London gold market and became a London gold salesperson. When he first entered the workforce, candlestick charts intimidated him. While explaining the “CFTC Commitments of Traders Report” to clients, he kept stumbling over “non-commercial positions.” He even missed a change in ETF holdings and cost a longtime client several thousand yuan in potential gains. Luckily, An Qi handed him an analysis notebook filled with her school notes. “You used to skip steps on futures exercises in college, too.” The former classmates often huddled over market charts in the office late at night. Ruichen used “stocking up at the supermarket” to help clients understand ETF holdings, while An Qi pored over the data to calculate capital flows. On nonfarm payroll nights, he warmed An Qi's hands as she clutched her pen against the cold. On stormy days, she passed Ruichen historical market charts when a client had left him speechless. From guessing price movements based on fundamentals to making forecasts by combining market sentiment and capital flows, they rode the ups and downs of the charts and won their clients' trust. Then, one early morning when ETF holdings hit a record high, the light in each other's eyes made their ears burn. There were stumbles for the newcomers and hot tea from their clients, but above all, two young people turned the understanding behind “helping clients make money together” into a mutual devotion where “when calculating profits, the first thing I check is whether you're smiling.” Even the rise and fall of the candlesticks seemed to be counting the beats of their hearts.
