The Hidden Hero of the Mortal World

In the jianghu, some ride with swords at their sides and horses beneath them, making their names known throughout the land. Others conceal their achievements and fame, living quietly amid the bustle of everyday life.

Hidden Heroes is a collection of classical wuxia stories centered on reclusive heroes who choose to leave the jianghu’s conflicts behind, yet ultimately cannot stand by in the face of injustice. They may be the owner of a congee shop, a master embroiderer, a storyteller in a teahouse, or a physician at a medicine shop... Beneath their ordinary appearances lie astonishing martial arts skills and legendary pasts.
