Crows: From Suzuran’s Slacker to the Uncrowned King

After transmigrating into a world of hot-blooded youth, Cheng Tian Longxin inherits the three million yen and detached house his parents left behind. All he wants is to be a lazy student who slacks off in class and eats barbecue after school. But on registration day, three members of the Haibozuka trio corner him over a grudge held by the previous owner of his body. After taking a beating, he awakens the [Strongest Subjugation System] and is forced to knock his opponents down. His lazy school life has barely begun, and it is already veering off course.

He wants to stay out of Suzuran’s conflicts, but steps in when he can’t bear to see Sato’s younger brother’s study notes for his entrance exams destroyed. To retrieve the notes, he shields Shun Izaki from a Hosen ambush. When the White Rascals harass Suzuran’s female students, he even grabs a baseball bat and enters the neighborhood to negotiate. These repeated “forced interventions” gradually earn him connections: Serizawa acknowledges his “remarkable patience,” Murayama praises his “sense of loyalty,” and Cobra is willing to discuss a balance of interests with him.

As he moves from school to the streets, he slowly realizes that “if you want to live like a lazy fish, you need the strength to keep others from picking on you.” So he takes the Haibozuka group as his intelligence network, joins forces with Murayama against the Daruma Family, and stabilizes the SWORD districts through compromise. He goes from being a “protector of the school” to a “rising star in the underworld.”

Later, the Sumiyoshi-kai demands that he become a subordinate, the Yamaguchi-gumi tries to seize his territory, and the Inagawa-kai invites him into the drug trade. He abandons brute force and uses intelligence to uncover leverage, lays down the rules, and establishes the Longxin Group. He joins forces with his allies to drive back the Yamaguchi-gumi and absorb the Inagawa-kai, becoming a major underworld power broker.

To avoid pressure from the legitimate world, he infiltrates politics as well: he helps Representative Tanaka protect his daughter and raise campaign funds, backs Onodera from local office all the way to a cabinet post, and pushes legislation to legitimize his industries. In the end, even the prime minister seeks his opinion. With logistics, entertainment, and construction under his control, he becomes the island nation’s undisputed power broker.
