Pokemon: Choosing Squirtle from the Start

Li Ze transmigrates to the Pokémon World and becomes Xiao Ze of Pallet Town, a boy sponsored by Professor Oak. Today happens to be the day to choose a Pokemon, and Xiao Ze has already decided on Squirtle. After all, Water-type Pokemon do pretty well in the early stages of the Kanto region. Still, he has to pretend to be a child agonizing over the choice in front of the professor. Just as Xiao Ze steps out of Professor Oak's lab, he spots Xiao Zhi hurrying over from far away.
