Demon beasts devour the world, and humanity is reduced to the City of Dawn.
Xu Tian, a low-ranking soldier guarding the city gates, turns out to be the young master of a fallen clan. After a fateful encounter, he acquires the Star-Splitting Spear and cultivates the Heaven-Burning Art, leading his family from the dust to the position of city lord. On the night a beast tide destroys the city, he pierces the heavens with one strike, buying humanity a precious moment to breathe.
Then he opens the ancient Road to Heaven, ventures into the Upper Realm's Profound Heaven Domain, joins a sect, claims the championship, and becomes its leader, before lifting the entire City of Dawn into the Upper Realm. In the struggle for supremacy among the six domains, he sweeps through five; when alien races invade the Void Domain, he holds them back alone.
From lowly soldier to lord of the universe, his path is forged in blood and battle.
