Mad Twins: The System Upgrade Plan

Across the dimensions of the universe lie countless “novel-derived worlds” generated from the texts of novels. They are managed by the “Novel World Stability System” (the Stability System), which assigns agents to correct plot deviations and protect “plot anchors” so the worlds can keep running. But Lin Fengfeng, an anthropomorphic vessel created in a failed Stability System experiment, can read system code by nature, yet has no empathy or understanding of rules. She vows to dismantle the Stability System and take its place. Qin Wang, the original male lead from a collapsing cultivation world, lost his family after an agent altered the plot. Once he awakened to the truth of his world, he was consumed by a desire to destroy everything.

The two madmen unexpectedly meet in a historical romance world and hit it off, forming an alliance. Lin Fengfeng builds a “fake System” to evade surveillance, while Qin Wang personally destroys the plot anchor in every world. They travel through six genres of novel worlds, including historical romance, contemporary romance, fantasy, and post-apocalyptic fiction, and refuse to play by the rules: they disrupt power struggles at court, sever sweet romance storylines, overturn the laws of cultivation, and bring intelligent zombies into being. Countless worlds see their deviation levels soar and teeter on the brink of collapse, while the Stability System’s core energy rapidly drains away. At last, the Stability System’s creators, the stellar descendants of the Origin Dimension, are forced to appear. A mad negotiation over “who owns the System” and “the fate of the worlds” is about to rewrite the future of every novel world.
