You Sent Me to a Bankrupt Factory, and I Made a Mushroom Cloud?

[A military-industry genius reborn in the 1970s turns a crumbling factory into a mushroom-cloud machine!]

Ye Yun, a military-industry prodigy from the 21st century, opened his eyes to find himself a “problem technician” sent down to the countryside in the 1970s and appointed deputy director of Factory 728, which was on the verge of shutting down.

Weeds towered over the factory grounds. Apart from Director Li, who constantly puffed on his pipe, there were only a few old workers killing time. The higher-ups had even announced that the factory would be closed soon.

Just as Ye Yun thought he might as well lie flat and enjoy his retirement, he bonded with the “Strongest Military Industry System,” and technical data for the PHL-03 multiple rocket launcher flooded into his mind!

With fighter jets from the Lighthouse Nation wreaking havoc overhead every day, Director Li casually suggested, “Why don’t we modify the old rocket launcher?” Ye Yun’s eyes lit up.

Short on equipment? The old lathe would do! Short on workers? He’d do it himself!

After working nonstop for a day and a night, modifying the tail fins, adjusting the trajectory, and making the parts, he managed to turn the nearly scrapped Type 70 rocket launcher into a weapon of mass destruction!

On the day of the test firing, the mountain three kilometers away erupted into a mushroom cloud. The rocks crumbled to dust, and flames soared into the sky!

Director Li was so stunned he immediately called in a panic: “Old Zhang! My lousy factory just made a mushroom cloud!”

Commander Zhang cursed him for talking nonsense, but after seeing the test firing with his own eyes, he made the call on the spot: “You’ll have whatever you need! Workers, materials, anything! This treasure has to go into mass production!”

The commander-in-chief read the report that very night, slapped the table, and stood up: “That boy is a pillar of the nation! Forget all the trouble he caused in the past!”

The technical experts at the research institutes and ordnance factories weren’t convinced? One look at Ye Yun’s blueprints left them all gaping in shock.

“This electromagnetic levitation accelerator track... Did you come here from the future?”

Ye Yun sneered. “This is only the beginning.”
