Black Soil Sinks: The Rise and Fall of Qiao Si's Gang

Built around the true life of Qiao Si (Song Yongjia), this story unfolds against the backdrop of northeastern China's social changes in the 1980s and 1990s. It focuses on four stages: making a fortune through demolition, expanding through violence, colluding with officials and gangsters, and eventual downfall. In a realistic style, it depicts the survival logic and inevitable end of a criminal organization, while also weaving in the struggles of people at the bottom and the pains of an era.
