My Empress Is the Queen of Junk

The Wreckage Queen Shen Qingwu, known across the Three Realms as the “Queen of Junk,” accidentally stumbles into the imperial palace and becomes Emperor Xiao Che’s empress. She has no interest in gold or jewels, but is obsessed with collecting discarded things from the palace. She transforms the scraps into all sorts of ingenious creations, leaving Xiao Che, who has seen countless rare treasures, utterly amazed. At first, Xiao Che is exasperated by his empress’s “eccentric” obsession, but he gradually becomes captivated by her knack for finding value in things others have thrown away. When Shen Qingwu discovers that mysterious discarded objects left behind by the previous dynasty conceal a hidden secret tied to the fate of the realm, the two embark on a journey to uncover the truth. Court intrigue collides with the wisdom of everyday life. Shen Qingwu uses the keen eye she honed collecting junk to defuse crises, while Xiao Che protects her with the sense of responsibility befitting an emperor. As they unravel the previous dynasty’s conspiracy and fight a mysterious organization, affection begins to grow between them. Xiao Che comes to understand why she treasures “junk”: it is a way of honoring the stories behind it. Shen Qingwu, in turn, understands the weight of his imperial duty, and together they become each other’s strongest support. In the end, the discarded things everyone once scorned become the key to turning the tide, and the two join hands to protect the realm. Shen Qingwu finds love, too, and shows the world that everything has value, and that the extraordinary can be found in the ordinary, making her the stuff of legend as the “Junk Empress.”
