I Quoted Dazai’s Famous Line and Woke Up in Bungo Stray Dogs

I was wearing a new dark Lolita outfit at home today when I suddenly remembered a famous line from the bandage-loving character in Bungo Stray Dogs, the series I got into a week ago. I felt an urge to bask in my own awesomeness and put on a brooding act.

So, with a solemn expression and an intense tone, I said in Japanese, “Please, let me awaken from this dream of a rotten world!”

The next second, I was standing there in my Lolita outfit, holding the bandage guy’s red book, awkwardly making eye contact with everyone from the Armed Detective Agency.

Wah… If only I’d known, if only I’d known, I wouldn’t have worn Lolita today!

Another day, after getting into Jujutsu Kaisen, I was blown away by the scene where Gojo Sensei expands his domain.

When a friend complimented my blue eyes, I felt like showing off. I raised my hands into the right sign, slowed down, and said, “Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void.”

And then I actually expanded a domain… Inside it were Gojo Sensei, wearing his white blindfold, and several of his students.

Gojo Sensei managed to end this absurdity in a fraction of a second. As for me, I’d made his students pass out, so he detained me at the technical college for “assault.”

Wah… If only I’d known, if only I’d known, I would’ve put on a white wig before showing off!

Having finished all the new anime, I took a friend’s recommendation to watch the old series about the child detective who brings death wherever he goes. Before long, I was brainwashed by the famous line from the washing-machine kid.

When the TV wouldn’t turn on, I got carried away and declared, loud and clear, “There’s only one truth!” Before I could explain that the remote was out of batteries, I saw a blond undercover cop, the child detective, Sleeping Kogoro… all staring at me.

As it turned out, the detectives at Café Poirot were in the middle of solving a case…
