The CEO's Girlfriend Ruined Everything by Covering for Her Assistant's Cringe Joke

My girlfriend's male assistant can't speak without using internet memes, and he was no different when we were negotiating a deal with a client. When the other company's female CEO mentioned making soup for her husband, he covered his mouth dramatically and exclaimed, “Wow, a real-life waifu!” During a break, an employee from the other side was picking out a ring for his girlfriend. The assistant craned his neck over to chime in: “So you're a Simp Sheep, huh?” After that little performance, the deal naturally fell through. I couldn't help criticizing him afterward, but he covered his face and burst into tears: “Brother Zheng, you kept giving the client the cold shoulder, so I had to step in and ease the tension.” “You were the one being so aloof that we lost the client, but you're dumping all the blame on me. I've been set up!” My usually meticulous and serious fiancée not only let the assistant's antics slide, she turned around and sharply scolded me: “You made a mistake, and you still have the nerve to pin the blame on a newcomer?” She ordered me to bow and apologize to the assistant, then docked three years of my salary to reward him for bravely saving the situation. Everyone on our team watched me with bated breath, sure I'd argue my case. After a long silence, I suddenly applauded and agreed: “Three years' salary isn't enough. I'll hand over my director position to him too.” She had probably forgotten that I had brought in more than ninety percent of the company's clients, many of them friends and relatives of mine. I was curious to see how her assistant, who spent every day surfing the internet, would bravely save the situation once all those clients canceled their contracts.
