Xia Linglong, the leader of the Zither Sect in the cultivation world, was unrivaled thanks to her peerless beauty and her divine mastery of the zither. Yet when she tried to reach the Great Ascension realm, she became stuck at the final hurdle: she had not overcome her tribulation of love. After glimpsing the secrets of heaven, she sealed a thousand years of cultivation and reduced herself to the Foundation Establishment realm. She shed her immortal robes for a plain dress and took her life-bound ancient zither, Frostflow, into the mortal world, hoping to understand the meaning of love amid the myriad ups and downs of life.
