The Intern Was Supposed to Serve Milk Tea to Foreign Guests. I Agreed, and She Panicked

Before the company went public, an intern suggested serving bubble tea to our foreign guests. My boyfriend said, “That’s pretty creative. Stop putting down the newcomers all the time.” The shareholders chimed in: “Bubble tea is so down-to-earth. Investors aren’t royalty.” I said nothing. I simply switched it out for black tea and a fruit platter before the meeting began. The project succeeded, but she started a livestream, crying that I’d bullied her and stolen her credit. My boyfriend said nothing to defend me. The comments mocked me, and the trending topics were everywhere: “Qiao Yining, get out of the workplace.” I died in a bucket of gasoline. My mother died of a heart attack, and my father was hit by a car, with no one daring to help him. Reborn, I simply nodded. “Sure. Just remember to add plenty of sugar.” Then I quit and took all the investors with me.
