Timeline: The story takes place midway through the TV series Ultraman Trigger, not long after Kengo Manaka has mastered Glitter Form, during a period when the Dark Giants are frequently active.
Two-universe premise: A “star gate” connects Earth’s universe to the Starshine Universe. Twelve years ago, when Mu Feng transmigrated into this world, he accidentally sealed the passage.
Energy system: Starshine power comes from the energy of the Star Core, born at the beginning of the universe. It shares an origin with the Eternal Core but has different properties. The six elemental fragments correspond to the fundamental laws of the universe.
Synopsis
A fateful reunion: When Yuna Shizuma is attacked by Carmeara, Mu Feng, her childhood friend who disappeared twelve years ago, makes a stunning return and transforms into Ultraman Starshine in front of everyone for the first time.
Identity revealed: Mitsukuni Shizuma discovers that Mu Feng is the “Child of the Stars,” who vanished from the TPU’s top-secret files twelve years ago. His body contains a primordial power of the universe that surpasses the Eternal Core.
Two Ultramen join forces: While fighting the Dark Giants, Starshine and Trigger discover that their energies resonate. Together, they unleash “Starshine Eternal Burst” and badly wound Carmeara.
A dark prophecy: Ignis’s precognition reveals that Mu Feng will face the threat of a “Star Core rampage” in the final battle, setting up a key development in the story to come.
A bond of affection: While sorting through her father’s papers, Yuna discovers a “marriage pledge” from her childhood with Mu Feng. The two revisit their childhood promise beneath the cherry blossoms, and Kengo offers them his heartfelt blessing.
