Xiao Chengyan, the iron-willed, cold-blooded War King of Great Chu, loses his composure because of Su Wanqing, a “male page” sent by the court. This seemingly delicate young man is actually a female military strategist, versed in the art of war and a brilliant schemer. Disguised as a man, she joins the army to clear her father's name, but unexpectedly helps Xiao Chengyan break a siege, foil a series of plots, and put down a rebellion, winning the battlefield with her wit.
