Su Xitang, a modern student of traditional Chinese medicine, transmigrates to Qingzhu Village in Yong’an County, Great Qi, where she becomes the new bride of hunter Guan Lingfei. She has barely woken up when her awful mother-in-law tries to sell her to a brothel, claiming she brings bad luck to her husband. Luckily, Guan Lingfei rushes back in time to stop her.
Su Xitang discovers that the jade pendant she wears contains a spiritual farmland space: ten mu of fertile land infused with spiritual energy, where crops grow three times faster than outside. It can also store living creatures and food, with time standing still inside. She uses the space to grow rice that yields a thousand jin per mu, ending her family’s hunger. Then she teaches the villagers to grow high-yield crops, opens a pickled vegetable workshop and a livestock cooperative, and even leases a barren mountain to plant fruit trees, gradually leading Qingzhu Village from poverty to prosperity.
Along the way, she serves up face-slapping to her awful mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, local gentry, and others. Using her space and medical skills, she helps the villagers overcome droughts, epidemics, and other crises. She and Guan Lingfei go from strangers to lovers, and she eventually becomes the renowned “Blessed Girl of the Space.” The couple lives in wedded bliss, their family grows large, and Qingzhu Village is named “Great Qi’s Wealthiest Village.”
