Siheyuan: Me, Silly Zhu, the Sister-Doting War God

The moment I open my eyes, I find I’ve become “Silly Zhu,” He Yuzhu, who froze to death under a bridge?! The miserable, humiliating ending from the TV series is right around the corner. “You’re worse than a dog!” The ending theme playing on my phone becomes the most grating taunt. You couldn’t make a decent life for yourself? Fine, I’ll take over! Back in the 1960s, I look at my little sister Yushui, pale and thin, unable to afford even her school fees, and I see red! To hell with Qin Huairu! To hell with Bang Geng! To hell with the bloodsucking Jia family! In this life, I, He Yuzhu, fight for my sister alone! Clearing out the shelves at the state-run store? Easy! Shrimp, meat, fish, scraps, I’ll feed it all to my sister to build her up! Jia Zhangshi tries to snatch our lunchbox? A slap will teach her how to behave! Bang Geng dares to bare his teeth? I’ll beat him until he cries for his parents and learns his lesson! Yi Zhonghai tries to guilt-trip me? Get lost. First, let’s settle the child support you withheld! Xu Damao wants to watch the show? Jealous I have a sister? You can stew in it! A courtyard assembly? Bring it on! It’s the perfect chance to tear the roof off this hypocritical Siheyuan! Golden, deep-fried shrimp tails will make the whole courtyard drool, but only my sister gets the delicious, fragrant soup! In this life, I, He Yuzhu, will punch the bloodsucking scoundrels, kick the sanctimonious elders, and wield my spatula to spoil my sister until I become a god! If anyone so much as takes a bite from my sister’s bowl, I’ll flip their cooking pot! In this life, I, Silly Zhu, will live like a real man, treat my sister to the best food and drink, and rise to the top! [Pure exhilaration + period setting + putting scumbags in their place + doting on my sister + war god]
